The City of Tempe will continue to treat the lake in an effort to get the pH to 9.0 or below. Despite the best efforts of the City of Tempe Aquatic Department the water is currently at 9.1. The government mandates that for full body contact events (i.e.… swimming) that the pH of the water be 9.0 or below. Tempe Town Lake falls under the jurisdiction of the federal government. We regret to inform you that Splash & Dash scheduled for tomorrow (April 26) has been cancelled.
